BIOGRAPHY

A graduate from NUS, Adeline completed her MFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University’s (NYU) Tisch Asia School of the Arts on a scholarship from the Info-communications Media Development Authority. Before this, Adeline spent six years in public relations and advertising as a Group Account Manager and seven years in public service as Head of Corporate Affairs. 

Adeline’s published booklist include 28 children’s books and she has amassed 6 book awards throughout her literary career. Her first non-fiction book for adults was published in 2017, arising from research she completed on a National Library Board Lee Kong Chian Research Fellowship. The book is titled The Lancing Girls of a Happy World.

Formerly a polytechnic lecturer, Adeline has recently left the education sector to join a production house as Head Writer/Executive Producer. Her screenwriting credits include the 2015 TV movie, Two Boys & A Mermaid, as well as OKTO’s The Diary of Amos Lee and Whoopie’s World (Seasons 1, 2 and 3), both of which are based on her best-selling children’s book series of the same name. She is currently working on two upcoming productions — one of them being Toggle’s The Last Madame — slated for release in the later part of 2019.
